Baby's First beach trip

I can't believe i have gotten so far behind on my boy's blogs. He keeps me busy throughout the day... Before i talk about the beach I'll tell ya a little bit about him. He is HUGE and doing so well. Motor skills of a 8 month old... He will be crawling any time soon. He is having a hard time getting that other arm out from under him or he would be flipping over all on his own. He is eating twice a day, vegetables and rice. We have cheated and gave him some fruits.. like bananas and applesauce. Let me tell ya.. you get yelled at if you don't shovel them in fast enough :) That's my boy! He love love LOVES his daddy, never sad around him. Has the most precious belly laugh. Grabs my face and tries to eat it. Can barely.. i mean BARELY fit in 6 mo clothes and is so smart. He loves to be played with and talked to more than ever and sounds like a parakeet in the mornings before we get him out of his crib. He has to be the sweetest thing I've ever met. Now for the beach...



Davyn is a FISH! He absolutely loved the water. He didn't to much care for the sand, but loved the water. We took him to the beach first and we put his feet in.. that didn't go over so well with him. He screamed. I guess he thought it was too cold on his feet because the next time we went to the beach, i walked in with him and loved it. Was kicking those sweet feet a hundred miles an hour. I let him get a mouthful of sand.. But how could you not? With a teething 5 month old who puts EVERYTHING in his mouth? I let him experience.. he didn't care to much for it but he tried it! After that hot sun and kickin' those feet for about 45 mins he was knocked out. Thank goodness we brought his bouncer he slept the rest of the time. That heat really got to him... He slept from 4:30 in the afternoon till 7:30 the next morning. Of course he woke up to have a bottle around 10 but after that, snoring and baby sheep jumping the rest of the night. I took complete advantage of that and slept almost as much as he did, i def needed it.



As for the pool... That was his FAV. He floated in his blow up crab for 2 hours!!!

He splashed and laughed the whole time. I couldn't believe it.. He was getting all the attention too, you thought i was kidding when i told you he was the BIGGEST flirt... Those sunglasses really get the girls :) Such a stud. Only time he got frustrated in the water was when the little kids splashed him... How dare them. But he got over it and was right back to being his happy little self. Davyn got a baby turtle on this trip of ours.. He doesn't know what to think of it quite yet but I'm hoping he loves it. We took him to a water park but that's for another blog so here are some pictures of my boy in the sand!!

Its been awhile since i have been able to blog.. Now a days, my boy doesn't stop. I used to be able to get stuff done was he was asleep.. but now he is NON STOP! He has been spending a lot of his time chewin' those sweet fingers of his but would rather have everything else in his mouth. He is getting rice cereal and baby vegtables 2 a day now... What a ham! He def has his daddy's personality... "flirt." He is doing great and getting sooo big. We have brought him to the beach for the first time...
We decided to do the "pool thing" first so he can get used to water before the BIG pool. This is how he reacted.
Those little feet of his were just a goin'... Although his arms stay still, he's my little fish :)

I hope he loves water like Dee and I do. We are taking him to the beach before his nap for the day. I'll post his first time on the beach later, but here are a few pics from yesterday. Love that boy :)

Momma's sick blog :(

For some reason i had a burst of energy this morning when Dav woke us up. I don't know how this happened bc i feel like crap but thank the Lord that I'm getting better. I think i have tonsillitis which doesn't feel so nice... I haven't been able to hold Davyn bc Dee is afraid of him getting sick... So while my boys are having fun together my best friends has been my bed, saline spray, tissue, water, and movies! I have been able to catch up on a little sleep so that's good. Davyn has gotten sooo big, and i can't take it. He is trying to roll over on us and crawl.. He holds his bottle by himself now and I thinks his toes are his favorite thing right now. He would rather play with them sweet toes than any of his billion toys.

But i must say... I have one conceited little boy. He LOVES to look at himself in the mirror. When we take him in the bathroom for a bath he has to play in the mirror first! What a stud :)

We had a great weekend with Brandyn and his sister and our gran father is coming this weekend! Then the beach the weekend after that... can't wait! Much needed break! Let's hope this sickness is gone. Our little guy has been eating real baby food every day now.. he loves him some sweet potatoes!

Bless it :) He could eat all day if you let him! The doctor said he is so ahead for his age... He pulls up all by himself and she called him a "tripod" meaning he can sit up by himself with the help of his little hands. He is 88 percentile in his height 72 in his weigh and perfect as an be! He weighs 16 lb 12oz and is 27 in long! What a ham :) He barely fits in his swing anymore... bless. He will be so sad when he can't fit in it anymore... We have never had to buckle him in that thing, but let me tell you his butt doesn't go in there without being buckled now. Dee and i were cooking dinner one night & we walked out to the living room..... Davyn was DANGLING out of the swing!!! He managed to flip him self over and scoot his butt down! Scared the mess out of us.. Never again!

I think we are going to take him to the park today and let him soak up some of this beautiful sun! We will have a new blog on his 5 months... i know i know i can't believe it either!
